OVERVIEW

This brochure was created to announce a conference held for avian photographers. The brochure highlights important speakers, events, and other needed information while giving the viewer an interesting layout and look into the conference.

RESULTS

This mailer provides the information to the In Flight Conference, which is an overnight event dedicated to avian photography. The design took inspiration from the styles of birding field journals, a combination of notes, drawings, and found objects. This created the basis for the collage used in the design, created by hand-drawn watercolor with pen overlay, torn paper, and found images. This look not only would be a recognizable layout for birders and bird photographers, but it also reflects the rough desert location of the event. While including the natural feel of the desert, the design also reflects elements of the camera, through black and white images and sans-serif typefaces. This style reflected the branding used by certain popular camera companies.
